Announcing: Humanistic Psychotherapy Consultation Group
Drs. Martin Johnson and Dawn Tomita would like to invite you to participate in a Humanistic Psychotherapy Consultation Group for students, therapists, counselors, social workers, and psychologists.
The purpose of this group is to deepen the participants’ understanding of theory while improving the implementation of effective skills and applications. Case conceptualization, consultation and role play will be integral to the group’s process.
The emphasis will be on the Rogerian / Person-Centered approach. This is an educational and consultative group and does not function as or substitute for clinical supervision. In order to best benefit, participants should have a current case load. Space is limited so please sign up as soon as possible by contacting us at 538-7793.

When: The first consultation session will be held on Thursday, January 28th - 12:00-1:00 pm.
with weekly sessions to follow.

Dr. Martin Johnson is a licensed psychologist and owner of Hawaii Center for Psychology. He has been in practice for 9 years and has served as adjunct faculty at Argosy and other universities teaching courses in psychotherapy. His focus both in practice and academically is Person Centered Therapy (Rogerian). Dr. Johnson views Humanistic psychotherapy as an effective approach to clinical issues and as an ideal grounding for a clinician to develop their own unique integrative approach to providing therapy.
Dr. Dawn Tomita is a licensed psychologist working at Hawaii Center for Psychology and Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. She is a graduate from Argosy University and completed her internship at Tripler Army Medical Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. Dr. Tomita approaches therapy from a humanistic perspective while incorporating other approaches as appropriate and views therapy as an opportunity for self-exploration, growth and healing.
